I had such a nice weekend with a great balance of downtime and fun/friend/yoga time. Here’s a look in photos.
Friday night dinner was seared sea scallops with an herb wine butter sauce, pine nut cous cous and sauteed greens.
Lots of hot tea with my ingenuiTEA pot. It’s such an easy way to use loose tea. I have quite the selection going.
A pedicure, pizza and cookies on Saturday evening.
Y2 Yoga teacher and staff party…including sing-offs and competitions for who could hold balancing poses the longest to win iPods!
Brunch at Whole Foods after teaching Sunday morning yoga. Class was so wonderful this morning and I left full of love and smiles.
Oh my god. I can’t even deal with this anymore.
A good run with this cute one. It was one of those runs that just felt effortless. I loved the overcast day and crisp temperatures.
🙂
Hope it’s been a great weekend!
Your weekend looks like perfection to me. I love the Y2 yoga picture, you look like you all love each other. so nice! Don’t stress over the paint. Look at the brochures with finished rooms in them (if you haven’t already,) it really helps. It’s kind of like a hair cut, it’ll grow (or you can re-paint.) I always consult Pottery Barn catalogs, they have the best colors.
i am so grateful for my yoga friends…they really are like family! thanks for the PB tip! i will try that.
What a great weekend! I love scallops, it’s my default dinner out item, that looks fabulous, did you make it? The paint swatches look terrifying, I’m glad it’s not me haha. Also, Sullie is too freaking adorable, just stop it!
i did make them at home although it’s my default dinner out option too!
Cute pictures, Jen–it looks like a great, perfectly balanced weekend! 🙂
Sounds like a great weekend to me 🙂
Hi Jen! You have probably gotten a ton of paint color suggestions but thought I would offer Benjamin Moore’s ‘moonshine.’ it’s the most perfect soothing shade of gray and it goes with everything. Good luck!!
christina – that is so funny that you mention that because i spent a long time staring at that swatch yesterday!
Yoga Church! Loved it! So glad it’s back!
so glad to have your amazing presence! and your amazing figure four to handstand…you must teach me!
As someone who just finished painting our entire house, go with a neutral color and if you want some pizzazz, do a one wall accent color that your eye has been going back to every time you look through your hundreds of swatches. Just make the decision then have a glass of wine and be glad that it’s done!
hey kelly – thanks for the encouragement/tip!
Your opening invocation in today’s class was moving. Yoga church is a weekly highlight. Thank you, Jen!
thank you so much for being there tara! 🙂
Looks like a great weekend. The food looks amazing! Haha I hate picking out wall colors… they all look so similar and I can never decide!!
Those scallops look amazing! As for your painting dilemma, I can feel your pain. I moved into a new townhouse in August, and I was so indecisive with the paint that I decided to go with white. Plain white. It was actually the best decision! I feel so relaxed in my white bedroom 🙂 Good luck!!
Olivia
Haha, I love how conflicted you are over painting – it’s only paint, Jen! You can change it! Looks like you had a nice weekend, paint choices aside 🙂
welcome to my life! i over think EVERYTHING!!!!!
Love effortless runs where my mind can just wonder! Had one today 🙂
It’s not good to look at your post when I’m hungry! Your scallops look delicious! And I’m very intrigued with your Ingenuitea Teapot. I drink looseleaf tea on a daily basis, thank you Teavana, and like how this tea pot seems to work. Amazon here I come!
Sullie is SO stinkin cute!!
