Oh man…it’s dog chaos at our house and I love it!
Brandon’s cousin Jason is in town visiting family and staying with us for a couple of days. He brought is super cute golden retriever puppy, Goose. He’s only 7 months old!
Goose and Sullie have been playing (in the dirt, of course) since his arrival. Sullie is in absolute heaven. She is so social and loves having other dogs around. Cute story…Goose is named after the character “Goose” in Top Gun that was Tom Cruise’s wing man…because he’s Jason’s wing man!
I predict that Sullie will sleep well tonight!
Backing up because I promised details on last night’s delicious dinner. It was a perfect evening to stay in. It was cold outside and tons of good football on TV.
Dawgs won. Gators and Gamecocks lost. Awesome! We built our first fire of the season.
Brandon suggested fajitas for dinner and I thought that sounded great. For our side item I made brown rice with onions, garlic, green pepper, corn, black beans and tomatoes.
Brandon grilled chicken seasoned with chipotle powder and Dizzy Pig Dizzy Dust.
We had sauteed onions and peppers, sour cream, salsa, cheese and guacamole to accompany the fajitas. This really hit the spot! It’s been a long time since we made fajitas at home.
I was in the mood to bake with pumpkin last night since it was cool and we had the fire rocking. I made brownies with pumpkin swirl and they turned out so well. I will be blogging the recipe on Bakin’ and Eggs this week so stay tuned!
Off to pizza with Jason, Brandon and my in law’s. You know I have to get my weekly pizza fix in!
I love the posts with multiple Sullie pics! She looks like she is having a blast with her new friend…but I have to ask, how do you deal with the shedding? I have a lab mix who sheds like nobody’s business, and I have tried everything. And if I’m wearing black, she makes sure to lean in and leave a streak of white fur behind!
Doggie play-dates are the best! Dogs playing offer endless amounts of entertainment and smiles. Have you thought about getting a second dog for Sullie.
YUMMM pumpkin and brownie…together?!? That is almost too much for my taste buds to comprehend, but I like it!
Goldies are SO cute – I’m in the market for my first dog-that-is-all-mine-not-my-parents and they are definitely near the top of my list right now!
Heck yes the gators lost 🙂
I bought two cans of organic pumpkin today because I am ready for pumpkin baking too! Yum.
I love nothing more when the gators lose! I think that is something all SEC fans can agree on!
