Happy Saturday! I woke up naturally at 6:45 and couldn’t go back to sleep so I’m drinking coffee, baking and enjoying a quiet morning around the house. I just put peanut butter banana bread in the oven. I have high hopes!
I actually do have to go into work in a little bit because I’m auditioning a new spin instructor this morning. I’ll have to put on my happy face because cycling is one one of my least favorite ways to exercise. I’m not sure why but I cannot get into it.
I just ate this for breakfast. Yes, at 8 a.m. I was craving a plate of eggs and vegetables. Who am I and what happened to carbs and peanut butter?
And I ate this for dinner last night. Grilled chicken salad with apples, pecans, blue cheese and balsamic. I have been seriously craving protein lately.
It was a great recovery meal after this tough workout. A friend joined me at the gym last night and neither of us were feeling the CrossFit workout of the day so we made up our own. We started out planning on doing Kelly with rowing instead of running and then we wanted to add in abs and upper body so we ended up with this and called it “The MJ” instead. It was a great endurance/cardio workout and took me about 28 minutes.
While we were working out the city of Charlotte was going underwater. We had crazy, crazy, crazy storms yesterday afternoon and the ceiling of the mall caved in and the it flooded. They had to evacuate the mall and it’s still closed today.
Off to check on my banana bread and get ready for spin. Yay! ๐
Have a great weekend!
I can’t get into spin anymore, either. Not sure why, but I just can’t. Years ago, that was my favorite class. Times have changed!
Your breakfast looks yummy as usual ๐ Veggies for breakfast sounds good to me!
I’ve never tried spin but I don’t think it would be my favorite either. I can’t be stationery for that long!
That photo of the water is crazy! Enjoy your baking and relaxing morning!
Looks like some awesome meals and workouts! Have a great spin class ๐
I might have to make that peanut butter bread tomorrow!! Sounds amazing!
Wow, that flood looks bad! It’s been raining here (Maryland) for two days now. You’re breakfast looks delicious.
PB Banana bread sounds like a pretty good idea first thing in the morning! Love it. Maybe I’ll have to make myself a loaf sometime today.
Eek, hopefully everything in the mall is okay and there is not major damage anywhere else!
I’m the opposite of you, I can’t get into the running for some reason, but love spinning!:)
Good luck with spin!
I love making your healthy banana muffins! I have made them every week for the past three weeks! PB banana bread sounds like something I will be addicted to too.
