HAPPY FRIDAY! This short week definitely felt like a regular week over here. Between social engagements and big work projects, it was jam-packed. I have a video post for you today. First I talk about a couple things that I have in the works that have been keeping me busy and then I answer your questions. Forgive some of the rambling responses. You guys ask good questions!
Here’s what I cover today…
– Balancing yoga, running and strength training and how to fit it all into one week
– Meal planning and grocery shopping in college
– At-home workouts using bodyweight and minimal equipment (here are the workouts I referenced…bodyweight tabata, stability ball and simple dumbbell circuit)
– Getting started with yoga and finding the right style
– Heavy lifting for females
– “Leaning out”
– Teaching yoga and the use of sanskrit
In other news…
Lunch today was a turkey sandwich on sourdough with honey mustard, havarti, lettuce, tomato, avocado and mayo and a big side salad with all kinds of fun toppings.
And when I got home for lunch today the beds in my front yard were being mulched and new bushes plated. Sullie was supervising! She’s such a good project manager! ๐ ๐ ๐
Have an AMAZING weekend!
Thanks, Jen for answering my question about Sanskrit. I want to teach from my heart being as transparent as possible. Your love comes through in your writing and videos. Continue to follow your calling.
Thank you SO much for these tips! My favorite college tip: to grab an earthfare vegan cookie for those rough study nights. (: they make the world a better place.
Hope you have a great weekend! and go gamecocks!!

Thanks Jen for posting my question about Yoga. I have access to a few studios around me as well as purchasing a few Groupons (yay!), and have dedicated September to trying out a few classes. Thanks for taking time to make the vlog! Take care!!!!!!

Go Chicago 2013!
I like the tips about balancing different types of workouts in a week because I feel like it is so important to make sure you move your body in different ways in terms of exercise, but I can see how it might seem tough to fit it all in.
Thank you for the video post, it was so helpful, you are amazing!
This vlog is fantastic. A lot of useful tips for working out. I especially like that you’re out there telling other women that they can lift heavier weights, and you’re telling them how to do it.
