Happy Friday. It’s November 1. I cannot believe there are only two months left in this year.
I welcomed November by sleeping until 7:45 and skipping early yoga and making a smoothie.
Here’s a look at some of the other things I’ve been eating this week.
Another oatmeal breakfast.
Sandwich and salad lunch.
The treat of the week was having lunch at The Cowfish with my friend and fellow yoga teacher Kacy. She invited me to lunch to talk about blogging. She had a free app coupon so we got the sesame crusted ahi tuna over seaweed salad. YUM!
Kacy’s salad was beautiful so I snapped a picture. Plus, her mom reads my blog so hi Mrs. Wansley! Here’s what Kacy had for lunch. I managed to swipe one of those fried feta balls and they were amazing. Cheese = delicious. Fried cheese = double delicious.
And I had a sushi roll with crab, shrimp tempura and topped with avocado and mango.
You all need to hope that Kacy gets this blog up and going because she is one of the funniest, most authentic and open people I know. You will love reading her words.
Remember how I was whining about the freezing cold temps in Charlotte? Well, the weather finally got it together this week and we’ve had a perfect southern fall week with temps in the 70s and pretty fall colors. I’ve been enjoying walks with the pup.
Now, workouts for the week…
Monday: Hot Yoga, Teach Spin
Tuesday: Hot Yoga + CrossFit WOD (8 minute AMRAP of 3 deadlifts at 115#, 12 v-ups)
Wednesday: Hot Yoga
Thursday: 20 minute treadmill run, 10 minute warm, 10 minute sprints + weights circuit
Friday: Hot Yoga
I’ll leave you with this photo that I snapped of Sullie last night. Her life is so tough! 😉
Have a great day!
Aww Sullie looks adorable!
That sushi sounds delicious! Where I am living now there really aren’t many good sushi places and I miss it so much!!
One of my favorite poses that Kala does too…Goldens have a very very very rough life! 😉 Ah yoga yoga and more yoga…I have one more day of my personal challenge and I am actually more sore and tired from 6 days of yoga in a row than weight training. It’s been fabulous, but definitely a challenge. XOXO
I also can’t believe it’s November! Your eats this week look delicious. Happy Friday!
Mmmm those salads look amazing!!! Happy November…to me November is seriously the start of the holiday season. I love it!! 🙂
Eats look delicious and would LOVE you to share your fav oatmeal recipes, preferably ones that include more than the traditional toppings..you always have cool ideas so any suggestions?!!? I look on food gawker a lot too but I love your take on recipes, especially anything low in sugar (I try to stick to stevia and complex carbs more than the simple sugars) and nutrient dense is good.
Sullie is adorable. Loving fall as well! Enjoy that sunshine…Portland’s is leaving soon and I’m terrified…it’s my first and ONLY winter here before back to SF 🙂
i will definitely keep the oatmeal combinations in mind to share! good luck with portland winter!
