Happy Monday! I hope you guys like the dumbbell workout that I posted on Sunday night! It’s a good one so definitely give it a try if you’re needing some strength training motivation and direction this week!
I had a busy but good weekend. It was the final weekend of our Winter 2018 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training (and the 10th 200-hour that we’ve completed!). It’s always bittersweet when they’re over. It’s nice to have weekends free again but you create such a special bond with each group that it’s also sad! We had a super great group this time around and graduated 29 yogis!
The coolest thing is that going into training it’s common to have 30-50% of the class say that they don’t think they want to teach but are there to learn more about yoga and deepen their own practice. Fast forward to the final weekend and I had them all go around and share if they planned to teach and if they had anything lined up and 100% of them now plan to teach!
If you want to read more about yoga teacher training, check out this post that I wrote where I cover tons of topics related to TT.
More weekend things!
FRIDAY
To be honest, I was in a lot of pain on Friday. I was having some intense pelvic pain/pressure that had me waddling around for most of the day. I worked from home all day before heading to the studio to teach at 4:30.
Luckily, I had scheduled an 80-minute prenatal massage at the studio for Friday night. The timing of it couldn’t have been more perfect. I ADORE prenatal massages because you get to do them side-lying, which is about 1,000x more comfortable to me than sticking your face through the hole. I get so congested and puffy.
Our therapist Amanda is seriously incredible and the massage was heaven for my pregnant body!
I capped off the night by heading downstairs to the restaurant where I ordered a turkey burger and fries to go. Y’all know that I’m much more of a sweet tooth than a fry girl but I had a serious craving last week!
Ended the night with a little sweet. 😉 Mint chocolate chip ice cream.
SATURDAY
I lounged in bed until around 8 on Saturday because sleep has been hit or miss at this late stage of pregnancy. I got up and made a smoothie and then got ready to go for a walk with Virginia.
She brought Stella over and we walked all three of the pups together. It was nice to have walking company! After our walk, I taught yoga at 11:15.
I had lunch at Namastay Kitchen and tried the new kale and roasted beet salad that our chef just added to the menu. It was super yum!
I came home after lunch, wrote this blog post and then took a 30 minute nap. I could NOT keep my eyes open! After my nap, I had to be at the studio to lead teacher training for a couple of hours.
Back at home, I whipped up fish tacos for dinner along with black beans and cilantro lime rice.
SUNDAY
Sunday morning looked like another smoothie followed by a lot of computer work. I broke around noon to take the girls for a 3-mile walk.
I packed a quick lunch to eat in the car on my way to the studio. I made a sandwich with mayo, spicy mustard, avocado, turkey, havarti and a sliced hard boiled egg. If you’ve never added a slice hardboiled egg to your wraps or sandwiches, you have to try it!
I led a two-hour block of TT and then taught my normal 4p class. This shirt adequately describes where I’m at in life right now! 🙂 It’s from the company All Out Soul. Definitely check them out. They have tons of cute apparel. Here’s the link to my leggings.
I wrapped up the evening at our TT graduation party. I did get showered, did my hair and put on a dress…but didn’t take a photo! I made dinner out of chopped salad, chips and queso and cookie cake!
I stayed up WAY too late finishing this book. It was a good and quick read.
What’s the last book you finished? Would you recommend it?
Favorite sandwich stuffers? Maybe some that are a little “out there?”
I love that tank, so cute!!
Hi! What size tank did you get? It says relaxed fit but that it runs small….
Thanks!
I just picked up that book too!!! Can’t wait to dive in. I’ve got a prenatal with Amanda today at 4…SOOOO looking forward to it!
