It has been the most beautiful weekend here in Charlotte. Blue skies and 70+ degrees. Happy! It was so nice to have a weekend at home for the first time in several weeks. I spent my time catching up, running errands, working around the house and teaching. I can’t wait to share my ALDI trip with you (look out for that post Monday AM!) but here’s a look at the weekend for now.
I kicked off the weekend early with a glass of sangria at lunch on Friday. We wrapped up our ALDI work and had a few hours to spare before heading to the airport so we grabbed lunch and wandered around Geneva, Illinois. This might be the best sangria I have EVER had. It was that good.
I taught two classes at Om Yoga on Saturday morning and then came home for lunch and to get ready to go out furniture shopping.
I’m trying to figure out what to do with my living room set up. I currently have a couch, area rug and coffee table but no other seating. I either need to add a set of chairs to my current set up (chairs are SO expensive…ugh!) or just start over again with a whole new set and sell the couch I have. All things furniture selection and decorating completely overwhelm me.
I came across this lovely giant snake decor while I was shopping. Who wouldn’t want this in their house?
I needed some frozen yogurt to power me through multiple furniture store stops.
And yoga to unwind after.
Speaking of yoga, check out these amazing new pants that I picked up at Om Yoga on Saturday morning. The owner of the studio is from Brazil and she brought back a bunch of really fun pants. These are so soft and comfy. I wore them to teach my 9:15 a.m. class today at Y2. It was so nice to be back with my yogis after two Sundays away. Favorite class of the week!
I trained a client this afternoon and put together a wardrobe proposal for my book. We’re starting photography this week. Craziness!
Off for a little run. I’m SO EXCITED that it’s going to stay light longer now. It is the best thing ever to leave work at the end of a long day and still have daylight hours to enjoy.
Any weekend splurges to share? All I have to say is that it’s been way too long since I’ve had frozen yogurt.
I definitely splurged on my favorite sweet treat too: dark chocolate and dates. Mmmm so delicious!
Also splurged a bit and finally bought myself some cycling click-in shoes! Very very excited to try them out!
I agree, chairs are so expensive! Do you have a Home Goods near you? I finally found a great Calvin Klein chair at Home Goods that was marked down about 70%!
My weekend splurge was a tasty mint brownie covered in chocolate chunk froyo! 🙂
No shopping splurges here. The only shopping I did was grocery shopping after I got off work today. Ready to kick off the week!
Love those pants! They are awesome!
We got our sectional from Haverty’s and love it and it was a great price!
How exciting can’t wait for some of that weather up here in Connecticut. I love reading your posts it’s like life in a movie.
That seems like an awesome week. You probably recovered from the last HIIT workout.
My daughter and I went to the Mall to look at some prom dresses for her. Some girls had
girl scout cookies set up. Jasmine (my daughter) picked out 2 she liked and I picked out 2-
had to have the peanut butter ones. Needless to say, we are still shopping for prom dresses.
Shopping sure makes a girl hungry.
I promise not trying to be promote-y, but you should check out the interior design start up I work for! It’s online interior design. $199 for a customized room design or you can shop our pre-made room designs for free. The goal is to help keep the design process from being so overwhelming and expensive, so it might work for you. 🙂
I am from Geneva, IL!! I can’t believe that you were here and went to Bien Trucha! They have the best margaritas around! SO GOOD!!
Furniture shopping is there worst. I’m horrible at decorating! Love the crazy pants : )
Ah!! Bien Trucha is delicious!!! I’m from around that area!
I haven’t splurged on fro-yo in so long; years I think! I need to get on that. 🙂
My splurge this weekend (since I ran two 5K races this weekend!) was a cheeseburger and beer from TGI Fridays. It was SO good!
It was a weekend of birthday splurges…dinner…wine…and your cookies that you sent me! Yes I still have them…I freeze them and devour when my sweet tooth is on a rampage. 😉
