Here’s a look at my weekend in photos…
Friday night pizza. I needed this like no one’s business.
Saturday morning at the farmers market after a beautiful yoga practice with Grace Morales. Highlights including mountain apples, lacinto kale, rainbow chard and the most ginormous bunch of beets for a whopping $4.
Paleo banana bread but with pumpkin puree subbed for some for some of the banana.
Saturday evening celebrating the opening of Carolina Barre & Core.
So excited about this!
Sushi dinner after the party. It was AMAZING. More details later!
Sunday morning breakfast while I was playlisting for my yoga class.
My Sunday morning yogis in savasana. My heart runneth over with gratitude for them.
Brunch after class. Sautéed swiss chard topped with an egg, leftover roasted butternut squash, turkey bacon and a sprinkle of goat cheese.
I ended up subbing another afternoon class at the last moment. I love this tattoo that one of our students has on her wrist. I don’t have a tattoo but I’m a pretty big fan of the mantra wrist tattoos. Who knows, maybe one day? (Don’t freak out mom. xoxo)
Leftover pizza dinner for the win. Today was my second rest day of the week. Necessary after spending three hours teaching in a 100 degree room today. My students worked it out for me.
Hope it’s been a great weekend.
Do you have any tattoos?
No tattoos and have had no desire to get one. Too permanent! I had pizza this weekend too and was able to take 2 yoga classes…Busy, fun, and very productive weekend…oh and the weather was GORGEOUS! Cheers to the new week!
I do have a tattoo on my rib cage. I had a great and relaxing weekend! Got some good cross training workouts in and I am ready for a new week!
that’s cool because it’s hidden most of the time. i think that’s a good way to go! hope you’re feeling better!
I only get henna tattoos 🙂
i like your style! 🙂
A simple arrow along the edge of my left ring finger (in orange). A little golden birthday present to myself earlier this year 🙂
Supposedly, we have a vein running directly from our heart to that finger (and that’s why wedding bands are worn on that finger). I got it as a reminder to go with my gut and shoot from my heart.
I LOVE that idea/symbolism!
That pizza looks delicious:) I do not have a tattoo, but I admire some on others. I have never had a symbol that felt important enough to permanently stamp on myself!
me either!
Sounds like a pretty perfect weekend! I have two tattoos from when I was young but I would like to get something related to running or yoga now! I love the idea of having breathe on your wrist!
Hey Jen! I have one tattoo that is very meaningful to me. Someday, might get another one. Hope you are well!
i think it makes all the difference if it’s something personal and meaningful.
Awesome weekend! I think I would had fro yo to the mix and it would be perfect for me: pizza, yoga, sushi and froyo! 🙂
haha, i actually thought to myself after sushi on saturday night, “i could really go for some froyo right now.”
Sometimes you just need that pizza night~! 🙂
weekly! 🙂
I have a small heart on my right hip. I got the tattoo the day before I graduated college, went alone & just did it after months of debating. It was kind of just something for ME and as a reminder of my college experience of moving away from home & following what I wanted to do. Less about the symbol itself and more about the experience of it for me. I would eventually like to get another tattoo related to my children (not birthdays or footprints or anything but more symbolic, I guess?) just haven’t decided what/where yet. I also love wrist tattoos like the above – beautiful!
i love that story. sounds like it was well thought out and personally important to you as you took a big step in life!
Pizza is sometimes truly necessary-I crave it often but only have it occassionally. I need to get into yoga. Ever since I got injured my hips are so tight when I run now. It’s really holding me back!
I have 3 tattoos and am getting my 4th this Saturday. They have significant meaning but I think I”ll be done after this one 🙂
looks like a delicious weekend!!
looks like a delicious weekend!
i’ve actually been considering getting a tattoo on the side of my wrist and run just a bit up my forearm. just a small word with cool script that would be my mantra. i’m still trying to think of the perfect word, so i’m guessing it’s not best to force it. i’m totally up for it if it comes to me!
love that mentality and idea. i think i’d definitely go with a symbol, single word or sanskrit if i ever took the plunge.
