WEEKEND! 😀
Mine has been fabulous so far – pedicure, dinner with friends, over two glorious hours of hot yoga and getting my life organized.
Last night we met our friends Lelia and Matt for dinner at Sir Edmond Halley’s. Sir Ed’s is a and old Charlotte establishment that is tucked away behind a shopping center. They have a great patio and upscale bar food.
We started with hummus for the table.
It was such a nice evening to sit outside. I am a huge fan of outdoor dining and looking forward to cooler evenings in the coming months!
It was dark by the time my food came so excuse the less than stellar photo but I had the spicy portobello and asparagus grilled cheese with a side salad.
And then I’m not sure what happened but the car magically led me here on the drive home…
😉
I have a new favorite ice cream flavor. Seriously, this may become a problem. It was soooo insanely delicious. I ordered half peanut butter and half coconut cookie bar. The coconut was good but next time I’ll go with 100% peanut butter!
What is your favorite Ben & Jerry’s flavor?
After having to teach all weekend last weekend and not getting to practice I was super excited about yoga this morning. I attended the 7:30 super flow and then stayed for half of the 9:15 hot vinyasa because I just couldn’t get enough. They were awesome classes and I left feeling so much better and completely dripping in sweat. I love my yoga studio!
One of the reasons I didn’t stay for all of the 9:15 was because my stomach was talking to me. I was starving! I made a greek yogurt and granola bowl when I got home.
Brandon and I made a quick trip to the farmers market and Home Depot and then I made a big salad for lunch. Spinach, tofu, almonds, dried cranberries, white beans, tomatoes, carrots, baby portobello mushrooms, feta and apples with a lemon dijon honey vinaigrette.
It’s been a cleaning + organizing afternoon around here and I LOVE IT.
Brandon has been hanging new wood blinds in our living room while I’ve been cleaning away. I can’t even explain to you how much better I feel having my life back in order.
Off to figure out dinner! We’re cooking at home!
Love the grilled cheese 🙂
I just had that peanut butter cluster B&J’s ice cream last night for the first time as well…AMAZING!! Good thing there were 4 of us to share a pint because otherwise I might have eaten the entire thing in one sitting…gulp!
My fave has always been B&J’s chocolate chip cookie dough. However after reading your blog my wonderful hubby is headed out on a hunt for pb clusters!! I may soon have a new gave because that sounds like perfection!!!
hope you loved it as much as i did! missed you on sunday!
I love Bonnaroo Buzz and Clusterfluff from Ben & Jerry’s. For a simple flavor, mint chocolate chip. 🙂
Glad you got to relax a bit this weekend!
Love that blue dress!
thanks! 😀
Ben and Jerry’s Phish food — hands down the most awesome ice cream in the universe.
I’m surprised you didn’t do the Warrior Dash today… sounds like something that would be right up your alley. It was awesome…and difficult 🙂
I definitely have to go with Vanilla for my favorite flavor, but Cookies ‘N Cream is a close second!
i love your dress!!!!!
thank you, thank you!
My favorite Ben & Jerry’s favors are Half Baked and Chocolate Fudge Brownie. 🙂 The mix ins are the best part! Glad you were able to relax and rejuvenate. Love those types of weekends!
Pumpkin Cheesecake. Only on shelves for maybe 4 weeks a year, and SO WORTH IT. 🙂
yuuummm! i’ve never tried that one but i’ll be on the lookout this year, for sure!
B & J’s double chocolate fudge brownie, for SURE 🙂
That salad looks delicious! I love it when a salad is pretty and colorful!
me too! i think it makes it more fun to eat.
Oh I love that feeling of finally being able to spend time at home and just get your whole life organized after being so busy. You certainly deserve it! Also I need to get some of that new B&J flavor, sounds irressitable.
Your dinner looked delicious and so did your ice cream..yum!
That hummus and your sandwich looks really good! Eating outside is the best.
Oh man, the ice cream sounds incredible and I can understand why it might become a problem! :] I don’t normally eat Ben & Jerry’s, but I’ve had Karamel Sutra before and it was pretty delicious.
