I hope everyone is having a relaxing Sunday evening. I am just popping in with some weekend photos to share!
This one got a bath and a little hair cut on Friday. When I picked her up she was so soft, smelling like roses and over the top cute. I swear she knows when she’s extra adorable. Look at that smile!
My Friday night included baking cookies to take to a friend’s house for a baby holding get together. I made “three chip” cookies with chocolate, white and peanut butter chips. I just got a new oven so my three batches of cookies came in three varying degrees of doneness. Something for every preference! 🙂
I was home and watching Scandal in bed by 9:30 p.m.
On Saturday after I taught yoga and did my long run I got all dressed up for a friend’s wedding. I tagged along with my beautiful friend (the two of us and the bride did yoga teacher training together) and her husband. They’re both South American…I think I fit right in minus the fact that I can’t participate in their Spanish banter. 😉 I wore a new dress that I was frantically trying to Hollywood Tape down on my drive downtown. I did NOT leave myself enough time to get ready after my run!
The wedding was at the Charlotte City Club and the views were gorgeous. The City Club is on the thirty-something floor of one of the buildings Uptown.
I made myself a plate of food the minute they opened the stations.
And they had the BEST dessert table. Cupcakes from Polka Dot Bake Shop, Peanut M&Ms and Reese’s Cups.
It was a great afternoon of celebration. I am so grateful for my friends and I absolutely love to see them happy!
The Saturday fun continued when I met my friend Leslie Ann for dinner at Lulu. She was in town doing a BodyCombat training (she’s a Les Mills trainer) and I was SO excited to spend an evening chatting with her. We are definitely kindred spirits. I love our time together. This is a terrible picture of my delicious dinner. It was duck over barley with beets and greens.
My Sunday has been low key and productive. I taught yoga, made a run to Whole Foods, ate a delicious egg sandwich (and I have lost count how many cookies), sat outside and worked on the computer, walked the pup and went to yoga. Perfection.
What’s the best wedding dessert you’ve ever had?
What was the best part of your weekend?
The best part of my weekend was going for a bike ride out of the city into the suburbs of Boston! Even though I got a flat, I still enjoyed myself 🙂
Great orange dress on you!
Your pup is so beautiful! The best thing this weekend was spending time with my two week old and husband. I love when the weekend rolls around so we can all be together.
I love that dessert table! It’s so fun and special when people put together what appears to be their favorites as part of their special day. It’s even better when their favorites are my favorites too lol. I can’t tell you the best dessert I have ever had because there have been so many. It usually involves a really good fudge cake or terrific chocolate chip cookie (best in my opinion are from Max Brenner and the Main Street Bakery in Disney). I could talk this topic forever lol.
Best part of my weekend? The part where I ran 10k in the morning 😀
New reader here!
I’ve been saying yes to so many social events lately. (Kinda like your summer of yes!) so, a busy weekend of friends, family, wine and laughter! One time I was at a wedding and they had a Krispy Kreme doughnut cake! Yummmm!
The best wedding dessert I’ve ever had was a really rich chocolate cake! I’d take chocolate over vanilla any day 🙂

You look amazing in that dress! AndI LOVE Scandal.
I love all wedding cake…the more icing the better! 😉 Best part of the weekend was relaxing with family friends on their porch, drinking delicious wine, and enjoying the cooler Texas temperatures!
I loved your reading in the Sunday morning class at y2 and would love to share it with a friend. Where could I get it? Thanks!
I LOVE your dress and that food looks amazing! i love going to weddings 🙂 Best thing I did was be with my boyfriend as he lives away!
Aw Sullie 🙂
I haven’t been to many weddings, but the cake at my own wedding was pretty phenomenal. Chocolate cake with raspberry filling, and vanilla buttercream coated with big fluffy coconut flakes. So good.
Best wedding dessert…honestly, nothing actually stands out, though I’ve only been to a handful of weddings. (I’m not really a cupcake/cake fan so that’s probably why, hah!) Best part of the weekend was finally meeting and cuddling a friend’s one month old daughter! Baby cuddles are the BEST 😀
I’m in a wedding in November, and I’m not ashamed to admit that one of the things I’m looking forward to is the cookie bar (there will also be milk!) my friend is going to have at the reception! We are both obsessed with chocolate chip cookies so I know it’s going to be amazing!
Fun fun weekend!
Never really had a really good wedding dessert. mostly just ok cake though i know a few weddings ive been to they have pulled the cut a cake with foam layers and then serve grocery store cake trick and maybe that’s why. cupakes would be awesome !
