Good morning! We are so enjoying our yoga retreat in the Dominican Republic. The group from our studio is leaving today but we are staying for a few extra days to soak up a little more sun and relaxation and some one-on-one time.
Given that we practice twice a day on these retreats, I bring quite the collection of yoga clothes with me. For the past several years I have definitely been known as the shorts girl and I wore them year-round to practice, teach and workout. You would rarely find me in pants. But over the last few months I have been all about leggings and have acquired quite a collection of bright, colorful and patterned workout pants.
Just a few days before we left for our trip I received my first pair of Dona Jo leggings in the mail to try out.
I selected the “Brave” pattern and it’s a gorgeous mix of pink, purple, blue and yellow. All of my faves wrapped into one beautiful pattern.
These leggings are so lightweight and comfy and feel like second skin but they’re also well-made and not see through at all. The waistband is wide and generous and doesn’t cut into you. I like that the length is long enough to wrap over the heel and I really love that they only come in two sizes, size one and size two. You can read more about the various fabrics, technology and quality on their website.
I’m excited to offer a discount code AND giveaway for all of you today!

Do you prefer working out in shorts or leggings/crops?
shorts for me! cute leggings though! i love the top you are wearing. where is that from?
It’s the Lululemon Free To Be Wild Bra!
Leggings all the way! I have yet to find a pair of shorts I feel comfortable working out in.
so first comment, but reader for a while.
When I saw your pictures last post (with you and your beau), all I can think of was: what? Did you have the two most muscular fit people ever in those pictures?
Then I saw today? Not only fit and muscular, but flexible like that? My 47 year old hips just about cracked when I saw those Yoga moves! Is it possible to hurt myself by just looking at someone moving in ways my body just doesn’t?? LOL Thanks for your blog. Really nice to learn and live vicariously through!! Keep it up.
I am a shorts person through and through (where my friend almost got me a shirt calling leggins leg prisons), but I’m trying to branch out and try a few different brands to see if I can find something I like.
Haha! I can totally understand. I used to feel like that too until I found some lighter weight, super comfortable brands. I love Dona Jo, Liquido and Track and Field.
leggings for me. i do not have a body (or skin tone) for shorts at all plus i feel like they are always moving and i’m pulling at them. i own one or 2 running shorts but just rarely wear them. on those hot days though when i see people in shorts i’m like oh why didnt i think of that !
I love that bra!! Can you tell me where that’s from?
Lululemon Free To Be Wild Bra. I love it too!
LOVE these leggings!! I mostly run in shorts, but for everything else I wear leggings – I’ve never tried Donna Jo, so i’m definately taking advantage of this promocode! thank you!
