Happy Sunday!
Zoey and I are SO HAPPY to see the sun after five days of rain and gloom. So happy that y’all loved our little video blog. It was fun to document her in that stage. 🙂
This was not the best week of workouts. I only got one yoga practice and one CrossFit/strength workout in. Thank god for running. It’s always been my default workout when I can’t fit anything else in. It’s so easy just to throw on some shoes and head out the door.
The only downside of all the running is that it makes my body super tight. I needed an army of blocks to make it through my practice on Tuesday. I was so locked up that it took a block under my thigh and two under my hands to get into splits on my left side. You do what you gotta do! It just makes me believe so strongly in the power of yoga for runners and athletes of all sports to help undo all of that stress we put on our bodies.
Monday
5 mile run
Tuesday
Hot yoga
Wednesday
REST
Thursday
5 mile run
Friday
CrossFit Main Site WOD
Row 1,000 meters
30 dips

30 handstand push-ups
30Â power snatches
30 burpees
30 pull-ups

The prescribed bar weight for guys was 75 so I used 45. 55 would have been more of a challenge for me but the lighter 45 pound bar let me keep moving at a good pace. I finished in 23:40 or somewhere right around there. This was a hard WOD!
Saturday
3 mile run
Sunday
Run (distance TBD)
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!
What did your week of workouts look like? Did one thing dominate? Anything you wish you would have gotten more of?Â
Over the last few years, my workouts have been all running every single week. I’m super tight and I know it’s because of all the running. I love running SO much and I love the convenience of it, too, so it’s hard to want to do anything else! I have recently started adding more strength training, though, because I know it’ll help with running.
I love reading your weekly workout recaps because your workouts are so diverse!
YES…when all else fails…RUN! I need to get my butt outdoors and run more. I’ve been doing a lot of yoga and it feels SO GOOD. I am making time to get back on the mat and my mind and body are thanking me. Yeah to sun…bring some to Houston! 😉
that puuuppppyyyy!!!
I am so glad to see you use so many blocks for your yoga practice (sometimes). I think of you as being incredibly good at yoga so to see that even the best yogis use a lot of blocks is reassuring and proves to me that I can improve my yoga practice too!
