First things first, I really, really, really (x 100!) appreciate the kind/encouraging/supportive comments on my decision to take a break from teaching yoga. I need to focus on Metro and my personal practice for the time being but I know that it won’t be long before I’m teaching again. It’s just so much a part of who I am and brings me so much personal joy. I just need a little break to refocus and rediscover my passion. Luckily, I have some private clients and I teach a couple of (very small) yoga classes at Metro so I can get my fix in a very low-key setting before I re-enter the world of studio teaching.
Second, I treated myself to belated birthday present – the new Tom’s Strappy Wedges. I love the pattern and think it will match so many different things! What to do when you’re sad about leaving your yogis? Buy shoes! 😉
Also of note…I ate eggs for breakfast yesterday!
I do want to mix up my breakfasts so I had an egg (cooked with my extra special no fail method that I need to share) along with fruit and toast.
More eggs for dinner tonight. This is what happens at 10 p.m. when I have no appetite for dinner. I get veggie guilt though so I made a scramble with tomatoes, mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes, spinach and squash and added some avocado on top. I had a slice of gorgonzola foccacia on the side.
Off to put clean sheets on the bed and pass out.
I love that your an authentic person and your shoes! =)
thank you! xoxo
I love those shoes! They are super duper cute! And just read your post yesterday, good job for giving yourself a break on teaching yoga, you deserve the break from all the hard work you’ve done the past while! When I get off work at 10, I never have the energy to put anything spectacular together, you did a good job with your veggies!
thanks lisa! i appreciate the encouraging words. this meal was assembled after opening and closing the refrigerator door at least 10 times. no inspiration!
I adore those shoes!
don’t you just love clean sheets? It’s one of my favorite things!
YES! once a week!
Cute shoes!! I clicked over to the website and they have lots of colors…wonder if they’re comfy?
i have their original wedges (not the strappy) and they are very comfortable to stand and walk in!
I can’t believe I still don’t own a pair of Toms … your new pair are so cute maybe I’m motivated enough to *finally* look into a pair!
you must buy some! i have the regular flats, the traditional wedges and now the strappy wedges. they are SO comfy and last forever!
I love Toms shoes. The ones you got are so cute.
Cute shoes! Veggie guilt happens to me too. I have been purposely packing more snack bags of veggies/ sneaking more greens in lunch time smoothies just so I know I have knocked out the majority for the day by the time night rolls around. It’s so hard to sleep on a veggie stuffed belly. 😉
Have an awesome weekend. Sun is shining here in Charleston, Sc!
oh i SO WISH i was in charleston this weekend! enjoy!
I need my eggs to look like that! You have to share stat!!!!
By the way, your shoes are so cute!!
i will, i will! this weekend…egg video tutorial!
I am in love with those shoes!!!!
I mentally said, “YES!” when I saw your shoes — as in, YES, I would love to have those in my wardrobe!
Hope you did well getting those sheets on your bed. It’s one of my most dispised chores (yet, so awesome when it’s done to be able to slip in to crisp, clean sheets)!
clean sheets are so worth the hassle for me! i require them once weekly! 🙂
I love those shoes! I with that TOMS carried their wedges in their vegan line.
i didn’t know they had a vegan line. cool!
Love the shoes!! I have to agree there isn’t much in life that makes me forget my sorrows like buying a new pair of shoes.
Really looking forward to the egg tutorial video — need help! Your foods always looks so delicious.
For some reason, I am the same way…when nothing sounds good to eat…make loaded eggs with veggies. Whatever works!! The shoes are super cute!! 🙂
