Hola! Happy Wednesday! How is it already Wednesday? My weeks just seem to fly by. That’s a good and bad thing, I guess. My Wednesday posts have been rather random the past few weeks so we’ll continue that trend today.
I kind of ruined my opportunity for regular workouts this week when I did a CrossFit WOD consisting of heavy front squats and pull ups on Monday. My quads are STILL sore to the touch. I don’t know what it is about front squats but they kill me every single time. I was proud of myself though because the workout was a 21-15-9 rep scheme and I was able to do the scaled RX weight of 95 pounds and kip all of the pullups (no band!) for the entire workout. Progress is a beautiful (and motivating!) thing.
Yoga has been a welcome form of working out ever since. Another random, I taught 3 yoga classes yesterday (2 classes, 1 private) and have completely forgotten how much energy is required to teach multiple classes in one day. How I used to teach 5 classes in one day along with training clients is a mystery to me! Funny how when you love something and want to make it happen, it doesn’t seem so bad.
Meals have been good.
A fall-inspired breakfast of pumpkin mixed in with Greek yogurt, apples, bananas, granola and sunflower seed butter.
A fabulous lunch box from Reid’s with all of my favorite salad toppings. Artichoke hears, beets, candied pecans, boiled eggs, feta, dried cranberries…mmm!
Eggplant and sausage strata with brown rice pasta and a little mozzarella cheese. Eggplant + sausage + cheese = a winning combination.
Chicken pad thai made with spaghetti squash. I have to admit I was a little skeptical about this one but it was great! More info on where all of these delicious meals are coming from later this week. I still have a couple more to test but so far, so good!
Another random? I’m redoing my living room and overwhelmed by the possibilities. This is one moment where I will say thank god for Pinterest to show me that I do indeed have a “style.”

So many choices, so little money, such little decorating prowess! 😉
Home stuff/decorating/etc…love it or hate it?
I love all the living rooms you posted! I just moved into a new house and had to decorate on a budget. So far so good. Though, I wish i could just take one of the living rooms right off of pinterest!
I loveeeeee decorating! And I especially love DIY projects!!
I want that salad! Looks so yummy. I like decorating, but don’t love it just yet. I think when we buy our first house I will love it!
Time to go browse at that antique place we went :). I like to choose neural furniture and add pops of color!! Love your pins!
Congrats on that WOD! yay for 45 kipping pull-ups (that is even despite my jealousy 🙂 ) As for the meals… I see a common GF theme, I will wait for the post on why! Also, those 1st two decor pics are dreamy, good luck with the redesign!
Home/interior design is something that I have recently become really interested in. I am having so much fun decorating my little studio apartment! With the help of Pinterest of course. 🙂
Love interior design!
I made a healthy version of pad Thai this week with spaghetti squash, too–delicious and nutritious! 🙂 I’m moving to NYC next week (ekkk!), so I’m in apartment decorating full force in terms of picking out furniture, home goods, etc. Luckily, my mom is helping me; I don’t think I could make a single decision on my own. 😉
Love love love decorating. Wish I had more $$ to do it with. I always think to myself, “If I had unlimited funds, boy the fun I could have with this house!” I’m also sad because now that we’re in this temporary living situation (apartment rental), it’s hard to be motivated to decorate. Ready to be back in a house that we own! Love the Pinterest pics. Have fun!
I love decorating, but I think we’re in the same boat. There’s simply too much pretty stuff out there!
How do even your boxed salads look prettier than mine??? 😉 Great eats!
Your salads always look so good! I love decorating sites and magazines. I love getting ideas from expensive places and finding inexpensive ways to make them my own.
I love the living room photos you posted. Thank you!! We are going to redecorate our living room and you just gave me the best ideas.
Speaking of food, it’s my birthday tomorrow and we are celebrating with some sushi at Sushi Guru tonight! I do think it’s the best sushi in the Queen City!
i am so jealous! i LOVE sushi guru. it’s my favorite! happy birthday!!!!
I like all the pictures that you posted! It’s so fun to see what other people like but I am not a fan of picking things out for my own house. It’s scary (and expensive if you make a mistake)! The 2nd room is a safe PB/Rest Hardware look (always love those) but I think I like the mix of color/texture in the other two rooms. All very fun and exciting!
Love decorating! And I am a pinterest addict for inspiration.
Degree in Interior Design! Love your inspiration board you are building! CrossFIT and YOGA love it!
Is the hubby helping out with choosing decorations? I feel like he’s disappeared!
I’ve been wondering the same thing. Not that it’s my business, but I’m curious as to what’s going on.
