Merry Christmas Eve! I’m headed to Georgia for Christmas with my family. The past few days have been a whirlwind of last minute shopping, baking, packing and wrapping.
This was the scene in my living room last night as I tackled all the gifts that needed to be wrapped while I watched Elf. Sullie acted as wrapping supervisor and kept an eye on the chaos.
I had a couple more baking projects to finish yesterday. The first was a key lime pie that I made with a gingersnap crust for a holiday twist. Key lime pie is crazy easy to make.
The second was almond thumbprint cookies. I did half with apricot and half with fig (pictured above). I rolled them in a fun color of sugar before baking for a little added sparkle.
I taught my normal 8:10 yoga class this morning at Y2 and I was blown away to walk in the back door of the studio to find 70+ eager yogis sitting on their mats. It was a sell out class and we had to turn people away. It was crazy and the biggest class I have ever taught at the studio. I was overjoyed to guide my students through their Christmas Eve practice. Such an amazing opportunity and I’m so grateful.
Lunch before getting on the road was a peanut butter and banana sandwich and a salad.
The car got packed…it runneth over. Seriously, the trunk is full and the back seat leaves one small space for Sullie.
But she’s a happy camper! She hasn’t seen my parents since last Christmas (since I always fly to see them in Florida now) so I can’t wait for them to be reunited. They usually try to steal her from me. 😉
Have a lovely evening!
Safe travels and Merry Christmas to you and your family! XOXO
Have a safe trip and Merry Christmas!
I am dying to get into yoga but can’t figure out how to turn my mind off during the practice. I just have all the thoughts in my head about everything I need to get done.
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas =)
That’s a full trunk! Merry Christmas!
